Auto Shipping 1

If you are shipping a car for the first time, you're probably curious about the auto shipping process. There's a lot of information available online, and it is hard to cut through the clutter. However, we're going to fix that—with this simple, easy-to-follow list that outlines the entire process. After you've reviewed all of your options, and have chosen the one that suits your needs, the process is fairly straightforward.

Submit Some Basic Info

By entering your shipping info into the quote generator or through one of our lead companies, you can greatly simplify the quotes process. Be sure to double-check the info for accuracy before submission. Vehicle operability makes a big difference in the price you receive, as can the mode of transport you choose (open or closed), so it's important to enter information correctly. After inputting your info, you'll get several different price quotes.

Place Your Order

Once you choose an auto transporter that can meet your needs and your budget, you can place your order right away. All you have to do is click the link within the quote you've received, and we will handle the rest.

Work With Only One Transporter

Once the company starts work on your transport, it's important that you understand a few things. Bidding wars occur when multiple companies are contacted by a single user; customers sometimes have a hard time knowing whether a transport website is that of a carrier, broker or lead generator. Working with more than one company will likely drive up the prices you're quoted. Please sit back and let us take care of the hard work for you!

Carrier Assignation

Once a carrier is chosen for your transport job, we will contact you via email. The email will contain tentative pickup & delivery dates; you can determine whether they will fit your schedule. Rescheduling may take an extra day or two, but if the tentative dates won't work for you, we need to know right away. Once the carrier is assigned, your car will likely be picked up the next day.

Get the Bill of Lading at Pickup

On the designated day, the carrier will call you a minimum of two hour before pickup with a general estimate of the pickup time. Once the carrier arrives, an inspection report is completed on the bill of lading (BOL). It's vital that you keep a copy of the BOL for your records. Your car will be loaded onto the carrier, and transit officially begins. You can contact your carrier at any time during transit for a status update or a more precise time of arrival.

Receiving Your Vehicle at the Destination

Your carrier will call you or your agent a couple of hours before their arrival. Once your vehicle is unloaded, a BOL inspection is done again. If the process goes smoothly, you'll make your final payment in cash or with a certified funding source. Your feedback is very important to us, and we hope you'll recommend us to friends and family who need to ship vehicles.
